Ayo and I did this joint round 98/99, not exactly sure. What I think is remarkable, I was ap 18 and Ayo about 16 yrs of age. Ayo Aloba aka MC Coffee and myself aka DJ Phorce — back then a “cool” DJ name was paramount… pretty mature sounds, but one thing that I find more fascinating: Kind of timeless. Listen to any other music genre, you’ll be able to talk on the era it’s coming from. Not so with these deep DnB sounds, I think. Beats shifting you to another planet, whether you want it or not. Back in 2005 I did this short and sweet session with singer Mr Marashi (yes, MEHRZAD MARASHI) and one of my oldest friends, his cousin Mehdi Rezvan (briefly on the drums). An incredibly talented singer. This session would have been filled with a lot more of his beautiful voice (and would have been a lot longer)… I will keep diggin.
